French actress Isabelle Huppert to promote new film in Korea
Top French actress Isabelle Huppert will make her way to Korea to promote her new film "Copacabana" this month, according to the movie's promoter Free Vision on Wednesday.
Free Vision announced in a press release that Isabelle Huppert will be in Korea on May 25 to promote the French film "Copacabana," set to hit theaters in the country on the same day, as well as to celebrate the opening of art exhibition titled "Isabelle Huppert: Woman of Many Faces" at the Museum of Photography on May 29.
"Copacabana" tells the story of Babou (played by Isabelle Huppert) who is a carefree and unconventional woman who realizes that her own daughter is embarrassed by her and decides not to invite her to her wedding. She then tries to prove her worth and motherly love to her daughter by working at a real estate company.
Isabelle Huppert has appeared in over 90 films and television productions since 1971 and has had 16 of her movies compete at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. She also won the award for best actress twice at Cannes, for her role in "Violette Noziere (1978)" and "La pianiste (2001)."

She was nominated 13 times for France's national film prize the Cesar Award, making her the actress with most nominations for the coveted trophy, and won Best Actress in 1996 for her performance in "La Ceremonie."
