Korean boy band T-MAX has been invited to perform at a festival in Kazakhstan this week, according to their agency Planet 905 on Tuesday.

Planet 905 announced in a press release that T-MAX will take the stage for the opening ceremony of the "2011 Kazakhstan Year of Korea" to be held at the Kazakhstan concert hall on May 5.

The boys will sing several of their hit songs from the KBS hit series "Boys Over Flowers" soundtrack including "Paradise," "Say Yes" and "Fight the Bad Feeling."

Other attendees for the event include representatives from Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) as well as Korean actor Song Il-kook.

"We know that the fans in Kazakhstan are waiting anxiously to see T-MAX and Song Il-kook," an official from the event was quoted as saying. "They have become popular in the country for their works such as 'Boys Over Flowers' and 'Jumong.'"

T-MAX made their debut in 2007 with their first single album "Blooming" and rose to stardom with the release of their song "Paradise" in the soundtrack for "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009.
