Several Korean singers including Lim Jeong-hee, 2AM and Joohee have taken part in the music remake project of renowned J-pop artist Masaharu Fukuyama.

Well-known Japanese singer and an actor Masaharu Fukuyama, who most recently appeared as the main lead of NHK’s historical drama “Ryomaden” (2010), invited a number of Korean singers to take part in his best album titled “With Special Guests - Fukuyama Masaharu’s Remake” where the singers sang to the remake versions of his past hit songs during 20 years.

Participating artists include songstress Lim Jeong-hee, boy ballad band 2AM and Joohee of group 8eight from Big Hit Entertainment, boy band Beast and songstress G.NA from Cube Entertainment, ballad singer Tei from Fluxus Music, Youngjee of group Bubble Sisters from Universal Korea and Ban Kwang-ok who was one of the contestants to music cable channel Mnet's music reality competition SuperstarK 1.

“It is a great honor to take part in album remake project of one of the greatest singers in Japan. All our singers and staff did our best as this is what we call a cultural exchange between Korea and Japan,” an official at Big Hit Entertainment was quoted as saying in its statement today.
