Korean documentary "The Last Tundra - Movie Edition" has been presold to Japan ahead of its release in Korea, according to the film's distributor SBS Contents Hub on Monday.
The critically acclaimed SBS documentary, which first aired in Korea on November 14 till December 5, was purchased by Japanese company Dragon Heart, making it the first documentary-turned-film to be presold overseas.
The film also shows how Grecia and Goria, the two Nenet children, adjust to life outside of the Tundra when they are forced to attend the nation's boarding school.
"The Last Tundra" will open in selected local theaters on February 17.
