Steve Barakatt to hold concert in Korea in March
Candian New Age pianist Steve Barakatt will come to Seoul for a concert in March, informed the concert's organizer CREDIA on Wednesday.
According to a press release by CREDIA, Barakatt, also a versatile composer and an arranger will give a concert at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center on March 13.
The 36-year-old musician who has studied wide genres of music including jazz, rock, symphony and techno, debuted with album “Double Joe” at age 14 and has since composed various pop songs for singers worldwide and held numerous concerts globally.
Barakatt is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and composed the anthem celebrating the 20th anniversary of "The Convention of the Rights of a Child" which was premiered last week in Seoul on the International Day of the Child.
He is well-known in Korea for many of his music pieces including “Rainbow Bridge” and “The Whistler’s Song” which have appeared in numerous televisions commercials, movies and radio background music as well as “Mou Tian…(Un Jour…)" and “Dreams” which were used as main theme songs for Korean dramas.

Having already performed several times in Korea accompanied by orchestras, bands, ensembles since 2005, Barakatt this time will hold a solo stage with an acoustic piano to play his best numbers such as “Flying,” “I’m Sorry,” and “Romance.”
