SS501 member Park Jung-min released his first solo album today, announced his agency CNR Media on Thursday.
According to a press release by CNR, Park Jung-min unveiled his first solo album “Not Alone” at midnight of January 20 after nearly two months of delay.
Park himself wrote the lyrics for all three songs in the album including the title track “Not Alone,” a dance number that employs orchestral sound with the synthesizer and acutal musical instruments, created through his collaboration with famed music producer S.tiger.
The statement explained that Park wanted to express his honest feelings through “Not Alone,” the insecurity he feels toward his first album created away from SS501 but coming around to place his faith on his fans.
Meanwhile, Park is set to give his first stage performance at cable music show “M!CountDown” later today and follow it up at other major televised music programs KBS’ Music Bank,” MBC’s “Music Core” and SBS‘ “Inkigayo" over the weekend.
He is also scheduled to hold his first showcase and fan meeting at the Children’s Grand Park on January 22. He has already held several fan meetings and concerts in Japan, attracting thousands of fans to each show as well as releasing his first Japanese photo book titled "Present."
Park, 23, made his debut as a member of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005 and has also appeared in various television shows as well as starring in the musical "Grease." He signed with CNR Media after his group contract with DSP Media expired in June last year and has since pursued a solo singing career.
