Elvis Costello to hold 1st concert in Korea in February
British singer-songwriter Elvis Costello will hold his first Korea concert in late February.
The concert’s promoter Credia announced Friday that the renowned 57-year-old singer, famous particularly for his hit song “She” from the original soundtrack of the Hollywood film “Notting Hill,” is set for a one-day concert at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on February 27 at 7 p.m.
His show will feature acoustic performances with just four guitars playing his hit songs including “She,” “Alison,” “Every day I Write The Book."
Costello, whose real name is Declan Patrick MacManus, is also a renowned rock musician in the league of other big name artists such as Joni Mitchell and Paul Young who produced over 50 albums in the United Kingdom and the United States since his debut in the late-70s.
He participated as a music producer of the albums for Bob Dylan and Neil Young and has collaborated with other famous musicians including Sting, Paul McCartney, Anne Sofie von Otter and The Brodsky Quartet, covering just about all genres of music: jazz, classics, R&B, soul, country, reggae, third world music and OST.
