LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy to perform in Korea tomorrow

Famed electronic music band LCD Soundsystem's frontman James Murphy will perform in Korea on Saturday, according to club Eden.

The American musician, songwriter and producer has been invited to deejay and sing for the two-year anniversary party of club Eden at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul on December 18.

LCD Soundsystem, where Murphy is accompanied by seven others for live performances, is Murphy's best-known project which has received much acclaim for creating new sound through combination of electronic dance music, punk and rock.

Their music has been nominated for the Grammy awards twice -- for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording for album “LCD Soundsystem” and “Daft Punk is Playing at My House,” respectively, in 2006, and once again in 2008 for Best Electronic/Dance Album for “Sound of Silver.”

Murphy has been with several bands starting with Falling Man in 1988 and plays numerous instruments including the drums, piano, clavinet, Wurlitzer piano, snaps, omnichord, vocoder.
