Korean actors Kim Yoon-seok and Jang Mi-hee have been selected to host the opening ceremony at Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF), according to a press release on Thursday.


The two actors will co-host the annual festival which will be held at Pusan Haeundae Yacht Stadium on October 8, PIFF organizers announced in the statement.

This year, the opening film for the festival is "Good Morning President" starring Hallyu star Jang Dong-gun.


Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett is also set to attend PIFF to promote his new film "I Come With The Rain" directed by Vietnamese-born French director Tran Anh Hung and co-starring Korean actor Lee Byung-hun.


Jang, who debuted in 1976, was one of the most successful actresses of the '70s and '80s. The 52-year-old actress had a resurge in popularity last year with the successful KBS TV drama "Mom Has Grown Horns".

Kim, a long-time theater veteran, became a household name with a memorable supporting role in 2006's hit film "Tazza". He followed it up with "The Chaser" in 2008, winning all the Best Actor awards for the year. His most recent film was "Running Turtle" earlier this year.


The film festival will be held October 8 through October 16 in Pusan.
