Girls' Generation Japan photobook No. 1 on Oricon
K-pop girl group Girls' Generation's first photobook in Japan has topped the prestigious Oricon chart.
The official website for Oricon reported on Friday that the photobook, titled "Holiday," sold 17,000 copies to top Oricon's book chart in the category of photobooks for the week ending December 12.
On the chart taking all types of books into consideration, their book ranked at No. 18.
Girls' Generation, one of the most successful girl groups in Korea, expanded their career into Japan in September last year and had since released several Japanese singles and held their nationwide Japanese tour.
The girls had their first full-length Japanese album "GIRLS' GENERATION," which went on sale in the country on June, achieve double platinum status and has sold about 850,000 copies to date.

In the meantime, Girls' Generation will be taking part in NHK's 62nd music special "Red & White Song Battle" along with KARA and TVXQ which will take place on December 31.
