Girls' Generation to release repackaged 1st album in Japan
K-pop female idols Girls Generation will release a repackaged version of their first full-length Japanese album this month.
Reports by various Japanese media outlets including Sankei Sports revealed on Thursday that the girls' repackaged Japanese album will go on sale on December 28.
The new album will include a new track titled "Time Machine," the Japanese version of their latest hit song "The Boys" and the remixed version of three songs from the original release.
Girls' Generation, composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, have expanded their career into Japan in September last year. They have since released several Japanese singles and held their nationwide Japanese tour.
The girls had their first full-length Japanese album "GIRLS' GENERATION," which went on sale in the country on June, achieve double platinum status and has sold about 850,000 copies to date.

Their album has also become the top-selling K-pop album of 2011, according to Japan's Tower Records.
