Top Korean artists BoA and TVXQ will take part in this year's "a-nation," one of Japan's largest summer music festivals.


The official website for the annual event, into its tenth year, showed that the solo songstress and male duo will perform on the main Sunshine Stage of the fest set to take place throughout Japan every weekend from July 30 to August 28.

Also, TVXQ will participate in the fest every day that it is held while BoA will take to the stage only on August 21 and 28, the website further showed, making it the first time in two years that the artists, the biggest names in the K-pop industry both managed by top Korean talent firm SM Entertainment, will take part in the major music event.


This year's "a-nation" will take place at the Ehime Prefectural Sports Complex in the Ehime Prefecture on July 30, Marine World - Uminonakamichi in the Fukuoka Prefecture on August 6, the Port Messe Nagoya in the Aichi Prefecture on August 13, Nagai Park in Osaka on August 20 to 21 and the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on August 27 and 28.

Other artists slated to take to the main stage of the festival include Japanese singers AKB48, TRF, AAA, and Every Little Thing.

Eight-member girl group After School will also sing at the fest but appear on the August 13, 21 and 27 Shooting Act stage which is set for newcomer artists since they will make their debut in Japan next month.
