f(x) takes trophy with “Hot Summer” on “M! CountDown”

Girl group f(x) celebrated their first win on music cable channel Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” with their song “Hot Summer” on Thursday.

The song came first on the show, followed by 2PM's song "Hands Up" at No.2 and Secret's "Starlight Moonlight" at No. 3.

"Hot Summer," which is an electronic pop dance tune accompanied by strong sounds of the synthesizer, is the title track to the f(x)'s first repackaged album released last month that sings of how to have fun in the summer.

This is also the song's second win on a televised show following its victory on SBS’ live music show “Inkigayo” last Sunday.

Meanwhile, other singers that showed up on last evening’s show included M To M, A PINK, N-Train, 8eight, Monday Kiz, Secret, Mighty Mouth, Navi, Hwayobi, Kim Hyun-joong and Jisun.

The group f(x), composed of members Victoria, Sulli, Luna, Krystal and Amber, f(x) made their debut in September 2009 with their first single "LA chA Ta" and followed it up with songs "Chocolate Love," "Chu~♡," "NU ABO" and “Danger.”

Outside of their group activities, the girls have made a number of appearances on variety programs, hosting televised music shows and starring in musicals.
