Park Yuchun starrer "Ripley" main poster revealed

The main poster for upcoming MBC TV series "Ripley," starring Kang Hye-jung, Kim Seung-woo, Lee Da-hye, and Park Yuchun, has been revealed.

MBC released the poster through a press release on Monday, showing the four dressed in black suits amongst some 20 supporting actors walking around them while wearing white face masks.

MBC explained that the four main characters at a standstill represent the schizophrenic side to modern day people while the white masks show that it is difficult to read what people are thinking on the inside.

Furthermore, Lee is expressing her appeal as the strong-willed Miri who stands up to the world in her own way, Kim his confidence yet loneliness as the elite hotelier Myung-hoon who believes he can control his own emotions with a cool-headed rationality, Park his bright presence as the carefree Yutaka who dreams of success based on his own set of values, and Kang her unique cheerfulness as Hee-joo who changes when Miri forges her identity and academic background.

"Ripley," to be helmed by director Choi Yi-seop and written by scenarist Kim Sun-young, will be a conventional melodrama telling of people's desires and love hidden behind the fancy success and failure the four characters experience on the backdrop of a top hotel in a main city.

The show will run in the Monday and Tuesday primetime slot starting May 30, following current series "The Duo."
