Park Jung-min wraps up UN charity concert in Japan

Singer Park Jung-min performed at a UN-hosted charity concert in Japan over the weekend, informed his agency CNR Media on Monday.
According to a press release by CNR, Park performed at charity concert “Friend’s Whistle! Act For Tomorrow!” dedicated to the victims of the March 11 earthquake, held in the city of Yokohama last Friday.
At the show co-hosted by UN-OHRLLS, a UN organization specialized in helping disaster-stricken areas, and music instrument retailer giant YAMAHA Corp, Park performed his songs "Not Alone" and "My Everyday is Christmas" with star guitarist SUNAO of T.M Revolution, a famous band in Asia.
Park also received an award certificate and a special whistle from the UN agency for his participation and at the finale of the concert, all artists including Mihimaru GT, May J and Korean group Choshinsung gathered on stage to sing "Always Be There," a song by famed Japanese producer Komuro Tetsuya who composed the song for the event.
Park, 24, made his debut as one of the members of popular boy band SS501 in 2005 and has appeared in various television shows as well as starring in the musical "Grease."
Last year, he kicked off his solo singing career and released his first solo single "Not Alone" in late January of this year followed by his second album "Enough to Bring To Tears" released early last month.
He is currently busy with his Asia tour and fan meeting in Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong and is set to head to Taiwan around mid-May to appear in a TV series in the country.
