Group Big Bang’s new song “TONIGHT” secured the No.1 spot on the music programs of two public networks over the weekend.
“TONIGHT” from the boys' fourth mini-album released February 24, was crowned the winner of both KBS’ Music Bank on Friday and SBS’ “Inkigayo” on Sunday.
However, it was on “Inkigayo” that the group made their appearance on television for the first time in two years and three months.
Big Bang, donned in military costumes sang and danced to "TONIGHT" as well as other pieces from their latest album including “WHAT IS RIGHT” AND “SOMEBODY TO LOVE” followed by G-dragon’s solo guitar-breaking performance.
Five-member Big Bang, composed of other two members Taeyang and Daesung, was discovered and trained by major talent house YG Entertainment and made their debut in 2006 and has since released many hit songs and albums.
The boys recently made a successful comeback to the local music scene with all six tracks of their newest album listing within the top ten spots on numerous online charts including the prestigious U.S. Billboard chart early this month.
