Oh Ji-ho, Han Chae-young cast for new MBC drama

Korean actors Oh Ji-ho and Han Chae-young have been cast as the leads for an upcoming MBC drama, according to the show's promoter Tree J. Company on Monday.

Tree J. announced in a press release that Oh will take on the male lead, Park Dae-hyun, an agent at the National Intelligence Service who has perfect martial arts skills, and Han will play the cool-headed agent named Ahn Ji-hae.

"I am honored and grateful to be a part of this production that has the best staff and actors in Korea, China and Japan," Oh was quoted as saying. "I will do my best in portraying my role."

"The character and the storyline on how it deals with the dangerous situations in Korea, China and Japan is what made me choose this production,” Han was quoted as saying.

"Strangers 6" will be overseen by China's leading production company Beijing Hualu Baina Film&Tv Co., Ltd. while Japan's FujiTV, WOWOW and Index and Korea's W media Contents, BnC Entertainment and HnB Pictures will take part in creating the series.

"Strangers 6," which will air in the latter half the year, tells the story of six individuals from Korea, Japan and China assigned by the highest level authorities of their respective countries to protect the three countries' joint economic area from being interfered by an organization.
