Girls' Generation Sooyoung pulls out of CSTV drama
K-pop idol Sooyoung of top female group Girls' Generation has decided to step down from an upcoming CSTV drama.
A rep with her agency SM Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday that Sooyoung has made the decision to pull out of Chosun Ilbo's general programming cable channel CSTV's series "Speed" which was scheduled to begin shooting in December of last year.
"She will be focusing on her singing activities with Girls' Generation and will look over other projects," the official explained.
Sooyoung was cast in "Speed" last November and was set to play the leading role of doctor for a racing team but production for the series has been delayed.

Sooyoung has tried her hand at acting before including in sitcom "Unstoppable Marriage" in 2008, then in film "Hello Schoolgirl" the same year and she also made a cameo appearance in SBS TV series "Paradise Farm" last year.
