Yoo Seung-ho considering male lead in Chosun's cable drama
Korean actor Yoo Seung-ho is discussing his appearance in a Korean remake of a Japanese drama set to show on major daily paper Chosun Ilbo's upcoming cable television channel.
An official with Chosun told 10Asia on Monday that Yoo “has been asked to take on the lead and is looking into the role in a positive light although nothing has been set."
If Yoo takes on the drama, he will play the male lead originally played by Yamashita Tomohisa, in the Korean adaptation of Japanese TV series "Operation Love" (translated title).
"Operation Love," which aired in Japan in 2007, tells the story Ken Iwase who travels back in time to win the heart of his love.
Yoo made his debut at the early age of 10, starring the MBC TV series "Daddy Fish" (2000) and his film debut in "The Way Home" (2002). He has appeared in numerous dramas including "Love Letter" (MBC, 2003), "Queen Seon-duk" (MBC, 2009) and "Master of Study" (KBS2, 2010).
