2NE1's new mini-album claims #2 spot on iTunes music chart

The latest album by Korean female idols 2NE1 has ranked within the top three spots on an iTunes music chart.

2NE1's second mini-album, which was released simultaneously in Korea and worldwide through Apple's iTunes on July 28, has claimed the No. 2 spot on its top electronic albums following behind Swedish electronic band Little Dragon.

The girls’ new album is composed of six tracks including "Don't Cry," "Lonely," "Hate you," "I am the Best," "UGLY" and bonus song "Don't Stop the Music."

Ahead of its release, the girls had topped all online music charts with the aforementioned songs, excluding the bonus track, and scored wins on various televised music programs.

2NE1, formed of members Park Bom, CL, Sandara Park and Minzy, is known as one of the most popular girl groups since making their debut in May 2009.

The quartet will begin promoting their latest title track "UGLY" and are gearing up for their first concert titled "NOLZA" at the Olympic Park Hall for three days starting August 26 and kick off their concert tour in Japan the following month.
