SBS series “City Hunter” finally took the No. 1 spot on the Wednesdays and Thursdays’ primetime chart, according to the results of two media research companies on Friday.
“City Hunter,” starring Lee Min-ho, Park Min-young and Lee Jun-hyuk became the winner amongst its competitors for the first time after scoring average viewership rating of 17.8 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) chart and 18.6 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll, the number improving by about three to four percentage points in average compared to last week.
KBS’s “Romance Town” moved up in ranking as well after posting average viewership ratings of 9.9 percent on TNmS’ survey and 11.5 percent on AGB’s report.
The drama headed by Sung Yu-ri, Jung Gyu-woon, Km Min-joon and Min Hyo-lyn which begins with the story of a young maid of a rich household who wins a 10 billion won lottery one day, shows how people can be swayed by money amid her love for conglomerate’s son alongside stories of her other maid friends.
“Heartstrings” also starring Song Chang-eui and So E-hyun, will portray a budding romance on a school campus between the lead guitarist of the school's band Lee Shin (played by Jung) and genius gagyageum-player (Korean traditional 12-string zither) Gyu-won (Park) as well as rekindled love between the young professors who teach them.
