Popular KBS drama "Dream High" will go on air on major Japanese broadcaster TBS next month, according co-producer KEYEAST.


A PR official from KEYEAST told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday that "Dream High" will begin its run on Japan's TBS at the end of July although the premiere date has yet to be finalized.

The show had originally shown on cable channel DATV in January and is set for a re-run starting July 19.


In the meantime, the main cast of "Dream High" including JYP Entertainment CEO and producer Park Jin-young, 2PM's Woo-young and Taecyeon, miss A's Suzy, Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon and actor Kim Soo-hyun will visit Japan for the DVD release event of the show titled "Dream High Premium Event 2011" to be held at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on September 4, while the DVD will go on sale on September 28.

The show was a joint production between top entertainment firms KEYEAST and JYP Entertainment and also starred T-ara's Eun-jung and songstress IU.

It brought in viewership ratings in the 18 to 20 percent range during its two month run in Korea since early January and has been sold to several countries in Asia including Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam and Cambodia.
