T-ara to make comeback with new album next month
Korean girl group T-ara will make a comeback to the local music scene with a new album next month, according to their agency Core Contents Media.
On Wednesday, Core Contents announced in a press release that the girls' upcoming album titled "John Travolta Wannabe" will go on sale on July 1 which is also the date of their comeback performance on KBS' "Music Bank."
"John Travolta Wannabe" will feature their title track "Roly Poly," co-produced by famed producers Shinsa Dong Tiger and Choi Gyu-sung, that is a disco music tune which captures the essence of the song "Night Fever" by the Bee Gees.
In the meantime, T-ara is gearing up for their debut in Japan which will kick off with their first showcase at the Shibuya-AX concert hall in Tokyo on July 5. They have also signed a contract with Japanese entertainment firm J-ROCK to manage their activities in the country.
T-ara, formed of members Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon, Boram, Soyeon, Qri and new member Hyo-young, made their debut in July 2009 with singles "Lie" and "Wanna Play."
They released their first studio album "Absolute First Album" in December 2009, which produced two hit songs "Bo Peep Bo Peep" and "I Go Crazy Because Of You."
Their last release was their second mini-album in December 2010 which topped various music charts.

Excluding member Ryu Hwa-young who joined T-ara the last, all six remaining members have pursued careers in acting on the big and small screen as well as appearing on entertainment shows.
