CNBLUE takes over music charts in Taiwan with special album
Korean rock band CNBLUE continues to cause waves overseas, taking the No. 1 spot on several music charts in Taiwan with their special album.
A press release from FNC Music announced on Wednesday that CNBLUE's additional record "THANK YOU," which went on sale in Taiwan on May 27, came in first place under the K-pop category of Taiwan's BOOK.COM, KuangNan Record, G-MUSIC, FIVE MUSIC and KKBOX.
"THANK YOU" has also received the gold album status for selling over 7,000 copies in Taiwan, while their previous releases "Bluetory" and "Blue Love" have gone double platinum in the country.
"We were extremely happy when we heard that 'FIRST STEP' came in first and it feels like a dream that 'THANK YOU' has done the same as well," the members of CNBLUE were quoted as saying. "We hope to hold a concert in Taiwan when we get the chance."
CNBLUE, composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jung-shin and Lee Jong-hyun, made their debut in Korea early last with their hit single "Alone" and mini-album "Bluetory" after releasing two singles in Japan.
The boys recently held their second fan meeting in Japan while members Jung and Kang are working on the upcoming MBC TV series "Heartstrings."
