G.NA meets with Far East Movement at MTV event in China

Korean female songstress G.NA met with renowned Asian-American hip hop group Far East Movement at one of MTV's global music events held in China this week.

According to a press release by Cube today, G.NA, who was the only K-pop artist to participate in the "MTV PUSH Global Party" held in Shanghai on Wednesday, got acquainted with the Billboard topping Los Angeles-based quartet.

Far East Movement is an Asian-American electro hip-hop group composed of Korean-Americans J-Splif and Prohgress, Chinese-Japanese American Kev Nish and Filipino-American DJ Virman.

Cube's statement said Far East Movement recognized G.NA immediately and told her that they knew her song as well as having looked forward to meeting her.

The group also expressed their hopes of getting to perform with her on stage some day and exchanged albums.

The "MTV PUSH Global Party" is a music event co-organized by global music channel MTV and apparel brand CK One that began the initiative of introducing new musical artists from around the world.

G.NA, whose real name is Choi Gina, made her official debut in 2010 with her single "Things I want to do When I Have a Lover" featuring Asian superstar Rain.

After following it up with her mini-album "Draw G's First Breath" in July last year, she released her first full-length album “Black&White” in January of this year which swept various online and offline music charts with its title track of the same name.

One of her recent songs titled “Because You’re My Man” (translated title) from the soundtrack of MBC drama “The Greatest Love” which went on sale this week, is also receiving favorable reviews.
