New U-Kiss member Hoon [NH Media]

The first new member of Korean boy band U-Kiss has been revealed, according to the group's agency NH Media on Monday.

NH made the announcement through a press release, introducing a new member named Hoon, who is currently a student majoring in theater at Dongguk University. He had made an appearance on SBS' TV series "Athena" as a bodyguard to the president.

The agency went on to state that they will soon reveal the second new member and a video introducing the new group.

Last month, NH announced that they were going to replace members Ki-bum and Alexander, terminating their contract with Ki-bum while having Alexander remain with the agency to pursue his solo activities.

U-Kiss (Ubiquitous Korean International Super Star) made their debut with single album "New Generation" in September 2008. They have produced a number of hit songs including "Shut Up," "Manmanhani," and "Round and Round."

They currently held a promotional event in Indonesia and are preparing their new album which will be released in mid-March.
