Actress Park Min-young of hit TV series "SungKyunKwan Scandal" may be cast as the female lead of an upcoming drama starring actor Lee Min-ho.

An official at Park's agency King Kong Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday that both the actress and firm are "looking into 'City Hunter' in a positive light" and a final decision will come over the weekend.

Lee of "Boys Over Flowers" fame had been cast in the show last September, designating him to play the role of a private detective who works to get rid of crime in modern day Seoul.

"City Hunter" is originally a Japanese manga series by Tsukasa Hojo starring a detective named Ryo Saeba and set in Tokyo during the latter half of the 1980s.

Lee, 23, has appeared in various TV and dramas since 2006. His last small screen role was in March in the hit MBC series "Personal Taste," in which he pretends to be a homosexual man, opposite Korean actress Son Ye-jin.

Park, 24, debuted through a commercial in 2005 and has also appeared in popular sitcom “High Kick (2006),” followed by dramas “I Am Sam (2007)” and “Princes Ja Myung Go (2009)” among others.
