Singer Tony An's father passes away
Korean singer and TV personality Tony An's father passed away today after having suffered from cancer.
An official from his agency TN Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Tuesday that An's father passed away earlier this morning at the age of 70.
"His father's health had been deteriorating so Tony had been by his father side for the past several days,” he explained, adding that Tony will halt all activities for the week and will most likely resume his work the following week.
Born An Seung-ho, Tony An made his debut in 1996 as a singer in the now-disbanded idol group H.O.T. He then formed JTL with its ex-members Jang Woo-hyuk and Lee Jae-won but the trio also naturally broke up when the bandmates sought solo careers.
