Hallyu star Ryu Si-won has signed with major recording company AVEX in Japan.
A press release from his agency R's Company announced Thursday that Ryu will further expand his singing career in Japan by signing an exclusive contract with AVEX.
"I feel really excited that I will release my eleventh Japanese single through AVEX. I consider it to be new step and challenge since I worked with new staff members," Ryu was quoted as saying. He recently finished shooting the album cover and photographs for promotional events in Japan.
His new album whose title is translated to "I Want to Love, I Want to Love You," produced by famed Japanese producer TSUNKU♂, will be released on March 16.
He has led a particularly successful career in Japan since debuting in the country seven years ago, selling out his concert tours throughout the country and having all 19 albums place within the top 10 of the prestigious Oricon chart.
