American rock band The Eagles will be visiting Korea for the first-time ever for their concert in March.

A press release from the concert's promoter Mnet Media announced on Tuesday that The Eagles will perform in Korea as part of their world tour titled "Long Road Out of Eden."

The band first formed in 1971 in Los Angeles of California by members Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. They are known as one of the most successful recording artists of the 1970s, holding the record of five No. 1 singles, six Grammies and six number one albums.

At the end of the 20th century, two of their albums "Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) and "Hotel California" placed within the top 20 best-selling albums in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

The group then broke up in July 1980 but later reunited in 1994 for "Hell Freezes Over," a mix of live and new studio tracks and have been on tour since. The Eagles was then inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and will be touring the world to promote their latest release "The Long Road Out of Eden."
