Actress Son Ye-jin on Tuesday spoke of her first-ever judging experience, saying she is both happy and honered to be selected on the panel of an international short film festival to be held in Korea.


"I am worried and embarrassed to be judging after always being judged but I think it feels better to be the judge," the actress said during a press conference held at Kumho Art Seoul for the 7th Asian International Short Film Festival (AISFF).

She added that she personally is curious about the acting in the short films being an actress herself.


The 27-year-old actress gained popularity in Asia after appearing in TV series "Summer Scent" and was commended for her role in films "The Classic" and "My Wife Got Married", both of which she won awards for Best Actress.

Son, along with actor Ahn Sung-ki, also director of the festival, asked for continued interest and support for the festival set to take place from November 5 to 10.


A total of 79 short films from 32 countries will be screened at the Cinecube theatre in downtown Seoul. A five-member judging panel, headed by critically acclaimed director Kim Ji-woon, and two special judges will award films in eight categories.
