Actresses Han and Lin to appear on top Chinese show

Korean star Han Chae-young and Taiwanese model-turned-actress Lin Chi-ling are set to appear on a top TV show in China, according to a press release on Thursday.

The two actresses met in Korea last week to shoot a segment of "Happy Base Camp" as Lin was selected as the celebrity to promote Seoul and Han was chosen as the top actress in Korea, said Han's agency BH Entertainment.

Han, who is currently learning Chinese, showed off her Chinese speaking skills and taught the hosts the Korean language and its culture in the segment set to air at the end of this month, the statement explained.

"Camp" is one of China's most-watched TV shows broadcast on Hunan Satellite Television since 1997.

Han is currently one of the most popular actresses in South Korea, appearing in several TV dramas including 2004's "Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang" and the smash hit "Boys Over Flower" earlier this year.

Lin is a successful Taiwanese model and the official spokesperson for China Airlines, who became known throughout Korea with her acting debut in John Woo's film "Red Cliff" in 2008.
