Lee Teuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk, three members of Korean idol group Super Junior, have been named MCs for a new variety show, according to a press release on Thursday.
The show, titled "Lord of the Rings," is a variety show that seeks out hidden talents of celebrities, explained broadcaster MBC.
If a celebrity believes his or her talent is the best and receives the hosts' recommendation, that celebrity will be given the opportunity to compete and become the "Lord". When the final mission is successfully completed, the celebrity will obtain the Ring. If he or she fails, the MC who recommended the star contender will receive a penalty.
For the first episode, Lee Teuk went to seek a star amongst MBC's hit drama "Queen Seon-deok" cast who was rumored to be a good marksman.
Super Junior, a K-pop boy band that debuted in 2005, is one of South Korea's most popular idol groups. Its 13 members are also assigned to one of several sub-units of the group -- Super Junior-K.R.Y., Super Junior-T, Super Junior-M and Super Junior-Happy -- that focus on certain genre or geographical markets.
