Girls' Generation's Seohyun named goodwill ambassador for UN Pavilion
Korean female idol Seohyun of Girls' Generation will serve as the goodwill ambassador for the UN Pavilion at the "Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea," according to her agency SM Entertainment.
Seohyun will help the public create more awareness on the pressing marine environmental issues that has emerged over the years, through her position as the Pavillion's Goodwill Ambassador at the upcoming event to be held in Yeosu, a port city in southern part of Korea, on May 12.

The 2012 Yeosu will be joined by 24 United Nation agencies and will hold exhibitions, which will help raise public awareness on marine and coastal environmental issues.
Seohyun made their official debut as part of the nine-member group Girls' Generation in 2007. They have a number of hit songs under their belt including "Gee," "Oh!," "Run Devil Run," "Tell Me Your Wish," "MR. TAXI" and "The Boys."
