Korea's national crime lab has concluded that Big Bang member Daesung's car was the only vehicle that hit a motorcyclist who died from an accident the idol star was involved in three weeks ago.

Police had originally suspected that it was a hit-and-run accident from which the motorcyclist, identified only by his last name Hyun, was on the ground and bleeding from and then Daesung, failing to see Hyun and a taxi that had stopped to take care of him, had run into them on May 31.

However, major broadcaster MBC's news program on Sunday quoted the National Forensic Service (NFS) as saying that Hyun fell off his bike after hitting his head into a streetlight while driving it under the influence of alcohol.

Blood tests revealed that Hyun's alcohol level stood at 0.16 percent, meaning he was fully drunk.

The NFS then said his falling off the motorcycle "was not fatal enough to lead to immediate death" and that they found no signs of Hyun having been hit by another vehicle before Daesung's.

Hence, there may be a possibility that Hyun was alive until Daesung hit him but Hyun may have also died from excessive bleeding after he fell off his bike, the NFS explained.

The NFS plans to deliver their lab analysis to police tomorrow, MBC reported.

Daesung, 22, is a member of Big Bang which is currently one of the most popular boy bands in Korea since their debut in 2006.

They have also led a successful career in Japan since their debut there in 2009, most recently topping the prestigious Oricon daily chart with their second full-length Japanese album『BIGBANG 2』.
