Huh Gak’s “Don’t Forget Me” zooms to top spot on Gaon chart

Huh Gak’s ballad “Don’t Forget Me” came atop the weekly Gaon singles chart during the second week of June.

“Don’t Forget Me” which is one of the soundtracks to MBC’s ongoing hit drama “The Greatest Love,” about a romance between a top-class actor with a failing heart and a have-been idol star willing to stay with him, climbed three spots from last time to come out the winner on the chart.

“Starlight Moonlight,” a dance number from girl group Secret’s newest single, leapt up eight steps to take the No. 2 spot.

The song, which is themed on love and nostalgia of the 70s, is accompanied by a music video featuring four girls traveling and camping against the backdrop of a cheerful dance melody.

Three-member male vocal group 4Men returned with the ballad “At Least Just Once” that entered the chart at No. 3.

The song that prays for the happiness of one's former lover but also yearns to meet with that person just once more at the same time, is the title track to their fourth album “The Artist” released early this month.

Meanwhile, releases from early this month took the top three slots on the latest albums chart.

Singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong’s first mini-album “Break Down,” which debuted atop the chart, is Kim's first solo album composed of six tracks including title track “Break Down,” “Please,” “Kiss Kiss” and “Yes I Will.”

Secret’s second single “Starlight Moonlight” came next, made up of three tracks including the title track of the same name that features an easy-to-follow melody to bring out the nostalgia of the 70s.

4Men’s fourth regular album “The Artist” composed of 13 ballads, finished third.

The album has placed several of its tracks including the above-mentioned "At Least Just Once" on the top slot of various local music charts upon its release and also saw all 10,000 copies of its limited edition sold out in less than a week.
