Singer-actor Jang Keun-suk’s Japanese debut single “Let Me Cry" is set for release in Korea as well, revealed to his agency Tree J. Company on Thursday.

A press release by Tree J. Company said that the regular edition of Jang’s single “Let Me Cry" will hit stores in Korea starting tomorrow and its limited edition next Monday. All tracks for both albums were released online yesterday.

“Let Me Cry," first released in Japan on April 27, is composed of a title song of the same name, a soft ballad named “Bye Bye Bye” which is also the theme song to the commercial for Korean rice liquor “Suntory Seoul Makgeolli” which Jang endorses in Japan, and songs “Oh My Darling” in the regular edition and “Melody made together (translated title)” in the limited edition which have been re-sung in Korean.

With “Let Me Cry,” Jang became the first male solo artist in 30 years and the second in Japanese music history, after J-pop artist Masahiko Kondo, to top Japan’s prestigious weekly Oricon chart with a debut single.

His win on the chart was anticipated though, since had topped pre-order charts and the single was placed first on Oricon’s singles daily chart for two days straight after going on sale.

Jang, as one of the hottest Hallyu stars in the Asia region, has been a popular celebrity in Japan since starring in SBS hit series "He's Beautiful" (2009) as the eccentric lead singer of the idol group A.N.JELL.

The drama was such a hit that it was re-adapted for the big screen, showing in 60 theaters throughout Japan from May 6 to 19, and just recently, Japanese broadcaster TBS decided to produce a remake of it.
