"Sons" ends "Queen" rule on TV

KBS2 TV's weekend drama "My Too Perfect Sons" took the top position on the weekly TV ratings chart, dethroning "Queen Seon-deok" for the first time since its showing.

The family drama scored an average 40.9 percent viewership rating for the week of September 21, according to statistics released by TNS Media Korea on Monday.

MBC's historical drama "Queen" stepped down to second place with a 40.6 percent rating, after spending eight consecutive weeks on top.

Another historical drama "The Iron Empress" (KBS2) ended its nine-month run at third place with a 21.1 percent rating.

In the non-drama category, KBS2 TV's "Happy Sunday" took No. 1 with a 26.4 viewership rating. SBS's "Family Outing" and "Gag Concert" (KBS2) followed with a 22.7 and 21.0 percent rating, respectively.
