Lee Joon-gi, Shin Mina reveal behind-scene footages for new TV series' 1st shooting
In the run up to hitting the airwaves in late July, MBC officials have shared behind-the-scene footages from the first shooting of upcoming TV series “Arangsattojeon” (in Romanized Korean).
In the pictures released by the firm, the lead actor and actress Lee Joon-gi and Shin Mina are wearing traditional Korean costumes and seen sitting on a straw-thatched roof together at the shooting scene, located in Namyang, South Korea on May 23.
“I have nothing else to ask the actors but to always remember when we first began,” director Kim Sang-ho of "Couple or Trouble"(MBC,2006) said to the cast members.
Inspired by the traditional legend of the Miryang area in South Korea, the TV series romantically and comically tells the story of a female ghost named Arang (played by Shin) who tries to find out the truth behind her mysterious death.
The officials said Shin will be portraying the ghost as a perky character rather than the conventional image of ghosts, for Arang has some unusual stories behind her long hair and beautiful look, such as her memory loss.
In the story set in the Joseon Dynasty, she runs into a district magistrate in the Joseon Dynasty named Eun-o, who has the ability to see ghosts.
