2 KBS radio programs announced NYF finalists
Two KBS radio programs have been announced finalists of the New York Festivals (NYF), according the official website of the fest on Wednesday.
The webpage revealed that "Korea, China, Japan - A Story of Three Nations," produced by Cho Hu-jung, was named a finalist under the category of history alongside 16 other international entries, while "Odyssey of Mythology : Death of Medusa" will compete for the title of best drama special with five other programs.
"Korea, China, Japan - A Story of Three Nations," which aired August last year in two parts, tells the historical, political, cultural and economical relationship between Korea, China and Japan during the past century. It reflects on the past while looking at what the future holds for these three countries.
"Odyssey of Mythology : Death of Medusa," which hit airwaves in November of last year in ten parts, told the mythical story of Medusa. The program was also turned into an audio book and educational CD set for children.
Into its 54th year, the New York Festivals honors the best in international radio programs and promotions, TV programs and films as well as advertising.
The radio program portion of the fest receives entries from radio stations, networks and independent producers from over 30 countries which is judged by top-level industry professionals from over 25 countries in five continents.

This year's winners will be announced at the end of May with the awards ceremony set to take place in New York on June 20.
