Travis Fran Healy's concert in Korea cancelled
Fran Healy, the lead vocalist of four-member British band Travis, has cancelled his upcoming concert in Korea that was set for March 18, according to the concert's organizer 9 Entertainment on Tuesday.
A press release from 9 Entertainment stated that Fran Healy has decided to cancel his shows that had been scheduled to take place in Korea, Japan and Taiwan due to Japan battling to prevent a nuclear catastrophe and caring for millions of people after an earthquake hit the country on March 11.
Fran Healy also wrote on his official website: I’m very sorry to hear the terrible news from Japan today. Our thoughts are with the Japanese people at this time. Due to the earthquakes and Tsunami in Japan the shows in Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei in March have been cancelled. I hope to reschedule these shows in the near future. We will provide more information as soon as possible.
9 Entertainment went onto state that they are currently in talks of scheduling Fran Healy's concert to early May.
Travis is one of the most popular modern rock bands in Britain that debuted with album “Good Feeling” in 1997 and became recognized globally for their second studio album “The Man Who” in 1999, which won the band the awards for best album and best band at the Brit Awards the following year.
