Huh Gak's "Always" tops Gaon weekly singles chart

Singer Huh Gak at music cable channel Mnet's SuperstarK 2 Show

Singer Huh Gak's title song “Always” from his first album topped Gaon's weekly singles chart from November 7 to 13.

Huh, the winner of this year’s cable music channel Mnet's singing competition SuperstarK 2, saw his song step up two flights from the previous week to take first place.

Accordingly, this pushed back previous winner “You Wouldn’t Answer My Call” by boy band 2AM to No. 2 on the chart.

Following the two ballad songs was Girls’ Generation’s latest single “Hoot” from their third mini-album of the same name released in late October.

Meanwhile, boy group BEAST ruled on Gaon's weekly albums chart during the same period, claiming the top spot with their new special album “Lights Go On Again.”

This pushed down Girls’ Generation's "Hoot" down a step to second place and the original soundtrack to film “Postman to Heaven (2009)” starring actress Han Hyo-joo and JYJ singer Youngwoong Jaejoong took third place.
