Big Bang member Tae-yang is set to release a new solo album in mid-October, according to his agency on Thursday.

"Tae-yang will shoot the music video for his new song 'Where U At' over the weekend and release it, along with the digital version of the song, sometime in the middle of October," Yang Hyun-suk, chief of YG Entertainment wrote on the agency's website.

"We have yet to decide on when to release the album though," Yang said of the 21-year-old singer's first-ever regular album. Tae-yang had released his first mini album in May last year.

Yang also explained that the agency is looking into ways to lengthen the period of promotion for Tae-yang's album in consideration of the short time frame he was given to promote his previous album.

The 21-year-old singer is a member of the popular five-member group -- composed of G-Dragon, Dae-sung, TOP and Seung-ri -- which has seen continuous success with their music career since debuting in 2006.
