K-pop artists to perform at music fest in Australia in November
Some of the biggest names in the Korean music scene will be performing at the 2011 KPOP Music Fest in Australia in November, according to the official website of the show's promoter JK Entertainment.
The webpage revealed that Girls' Generation, 2AM, TVXQ, miss A, 4minute, BEAST, Secret, CNBLUE, KARA and SHINee will take part in the 2011 KPOP Music Fest to be held at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, Australia on November 12.
The festival will take place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Australia.
Girls’ Generation, composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, is currently preparing for their second concert in Korea titled "2011 GIRLS' GENERATION TOUR" on July 23 and 24.
Trained and discovered by major talenthouse JYP Entertainment, 2AM released their debut single "This Song" in July 2008. The boys have been busy with their Asia tour where they visited several countries in Asia to promote their album and themselves.
TVXQ has been a leading dance group in K-pop scene since their debut in 2004 and the duo recently released their new Japanese single "Superstar" which placed at the No. 2 spot on Oricon's daily singles chart.
miss A, formed of Min, Fei, Jia and Suzy, made their return to the local music scene with their title track "Good-bye Baby" from their first full-length album "A Class." The girls will give their comeback performance tonight on Mnet's "M! CountDown."
Composed of Hyun-a, Ji-hyun, Ji-yoon, Ga-yoon and So-hyun, 4minute made their debut in 2009. The girls recently promoted "Heart To Heart" and "Mirror Mirror" from their album "4Minutes Left."
BEAST have promoted title tracks "Fiction" and "On Rainy Days" from their first full-length album "Fiction and Fact" before kicking off their Asia tour.
Secret, composed of members, Jun Hyo-seong, Han Sun-hwa, Song Ji-eun and Zinger, debuted in October 2009 with their digital single, “I Want You Back." The girls recently held their first showcase in Japan to promote their Japanese debut single "Madonna."
CNBLUE, composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jung-shin and Lee Jong-hyun, made their debut in Korea early last with their hit single "Alone." The boys recently held their second fan meeting in Japan while members Jung and Kang are working on the upcoming MBC TV series "Heartstrings."
KARA, composed of members Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole, is currently one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market. They are preparing for their fan meeting in Japan on August 6.
