SS501 Kim Hyun-joong to return to stage

Boy band SS501 leader Kim Hyun-joong will return to the stage with his group members for the first time since falling ill with the influenza flu early last month, said their agency on Thursday.

"All five of them will perform at their Asia tour concert at the Taipei Arena in Taiwan on October 17," an official at DSP Media told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.

Kim, 23, had halted all activities after being diagnosed with the H1N1 influenza flu in early September while in Japan to promote KBS hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers."

He returned to Korea after a week of hospitalization but had been focusing on recovering his health. SS501 performed without their leader at the 2009 Wonderful Korea Concert on Sunday.

The five-member group have been on their "SS501 Asia Tour Persona 2009" since early August where they are set to perform at a total of 10 countries throughout Asia till early next year.

They are also in preparations to release their upcoming second regular album.
