Singer and JYP Entertainment head Park Jin-young will hit the road soon for his first concert tour here in three years.
The concert’s promoter CJ E&M said in a press release Wednesday that Park will launch the first run of “2012 J.Y.PARK Live Concert ‘Bad JAZZ BAR'” in South Korea’s city Daejeon on December 28.
“Every year, Park’s year-end exclusive concerts have garnered overwhelming support mostly from women in their thirties. Like his previous concerts, Park's R-rated and provocative performance will excite the audience,” an official from the promoter was quoted as saying.
Park, who is also known by his initials JYP, is one of the most influential TV personalities in the Korean entertainment industry alongside YG Entertainment C. E. O. Yang Hyun-suk and SM Entertainment C. E. O. Lee Soo-man.
He made a huge breakthrough in his career by establishing his own agency JYP Entertainment in 1999. Park has since produced some of the top K-pop acts such as Rain, 2PM, 2AM, the Wonder Girls and miss A.
Meanwhile, Park will keep his post as one of judging panels on SBS' singing competition program “KPOP STAR 2” starting November 18, alongside Yang and songstress BoA.
