“My Love My Family” remains No. 1 on TV chart for 4th week

KBS weekend drama “My Love My Family” scored the highest viewership ratings for the fourth consecutive time as of the week of June 6 to 12, according to the estimates of two media research companies on Monday.

“My Love My Family” was ranked atop weekly charts after collecting average viewership ratings of 23 percent on Total National Multimedia Statistics’ (TNmS) chart and 24.4 percent on AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (AGB) poll, which is about a one to two percent rise from the previous week.

The drama starring Lee Jae-ryeong, Park Joo-mi, Kwon Hae-hyo and Moon Jung-hee, is a family drama about love, patience and understanding between couples stuck in various situations.

SBS weekend series “New Gisaeng Story” rose to second place on both charts for the first time after reporting average marks of 18.7 percent and 22 percent on TNmS and AGB’s survey, respectively.

“New Gisaeng Story,” starring Lim Soo-hyang, Sung Hoon and Han Hye-rin, tells a story about love, marriage and secrets to birth against the backdrop of traditional house of courtesans,

Weekend dramas continued to do well for broadcaster MBC as well, placing its series “Twinkle Twinkle” starring Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Yu-ri and Kim Seok-hun, at the No. 3 spot on TNmS' chart with an average viewership rating of 17.6 percent.

“Twinkle Twinkle” tells of the contrasting choice made by two women who were switched at birth by mistake and about the man whom they both fall in love with.

AGB, meanwhile, placed KBS variety show “Happy Sunday,” famous for segment “Two Days and One Night,” at third with a viewership rating of 20.7 percent for this week.
