Girls' Generation adds four concerts to Japan tour
Female idol group Girls' Generation have decided to add another four shows to their Japan tour kicking off tomorrow backed by continued demand by fans.
The girls' Japanese agency Universal Music Japan announced through its official website on Friday that the newly scheduled concerts are at the Yoyogi National Stadium on June 28 and 29, the Green Arena in Hiroshima on July 3 and the Marine Messe in Fukuoka on July 18.
The girls were originally set to give seven performances in four cities but had expanded it to ten shows in six cities starting with Osaka on May 31 and then to Tokyo, Saitama, Hiroshima, Nagoya and Fukuoka till July 17.
Girls' Generation is one of the most well-known female idol groups in Asia which made their debut in Korea in 2007 under SM Entertainment.
They expanded their careers into Japan in August of last year where they have enjoyed much success, becoming the first Korean girl group to place No. 1 on the Oricon chart and wining several gold disc status for selling over 100,000 copies for their albums.
They are set to release their first full-length album in the country titled "GIRLS' GENERATION" on June 1.
