SHINee shoots spread for fashion mag in Korea and Japan

Idol group SHINee has been featured in both the Korea and Japan versions of well-known fashion magazine Elle Girl, revealed their agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday.

According to a press release by SM, the five-member boy band did a photo shoot and interview with the publication's June edition after Yukiko Marooka, the editor of Elle Girl Japan, flew to Seoul in person to interview them.

“Each member's unique character seems to create a synergy effect. They were all very cute but very professional as well,” the editor was quoted as saying in the statement.

“We wish to get to know and talk with lots of people in Japan and have fun with our activities there,” said leader Onew during the interview with Elle the same day.

In Japan, SHINee has already seen success with songs “Replay” and “Hello” whose ringtone versions have both topped the daily chart of Japan's biggest mobile website RecoChoku upon their releases in late April and mid-May, respectively.

Ahead of making their official debut in the country on June 22 with the release of their first single "Replay" there, SHINee will perform at Abbey Road Studios in London, England on June 19 and follow it up with a nationwide fan meeting tour in Japan titled "SHINee JAPAN DEBUT PREMIUM RECEPTION" with shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo.

Composed of other members Key, Minho, Jonghyun and Taemin, SHINee is one of Korea's most popular male groups who made their debut in 2008 under major talenthouse SM Entertainment. They have produced a number of hit songs including "Reply," "Ring Ding Dong" and "LUCIFER."
