"Old Partner" to open India docu/short film fest
Korean independent film "Old Partner" will open a documentary and short film festival in India set for later this month.
The information came through the official website for the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala which into its 4th edition this year, will be held for five days starting July 31.
The film, a documentary film helmed by director Lee Chung-ryoul, is about a relationship between an 80-year-old farmer and his 40-year-old cow.
During its initial run in Korea in 2009, the movie attracted over three million viewers, the highest figure for a documentary and re-opened in the country later on while showing in Japan as well.

"Old Partner" also received a number of critical acclaims including the silver award at the Shanghai TV Festival, the Mercenat Award at the Busan International Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Korean Independent Film Awards, while being the first Korean film to compete under the documentary category at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.
